HIPAA FOR DENTISTRY
This one (1) hour presentation explains the HIPAA ruling regarding protected health information for dental patients. Includes health information privacy, policy and procedures; proper handling of paper/electronic charting and HIPAA forms that must be utilized in offices. A policy manual is provided along with examples of situations in dental offices.
ETHICS This presentation will cover the ethics, professional responsibility, statutes governing dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants as well as licensing laws and administrative rules governing dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants. The ADA Principles of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct and the ADHA Code of Ethics for Dental Hygienists will also be discussed. Questions and dilemmas related to ethics that have occurred and continue to occur in the profession will be discussed and will be coordinated with information specific to the state of Indiana.
